The present example of Rolex Datejust is a reference 16 014. Its tonneau-shaped water-resistant case in stainless steel is a delight with its fluted white-gold bezel, screw down crown and back, and has been nicely preserved. The beautiful dial has centered seconds and applied baton numerals and has aged heavenly gaining a cream color. Powered by the automatic caliber 3035, this is a really cool example of the everyday watch. The dial comes with a special logo: the “UAE Armed Forces” Hawk as a special order for governments or prominent royals. Rolex watches have long been favored by sheiks, army officials and the ruling party in the Middle East.
