22 February 2024Monaco Legend Group is delighted to unveil a very special Patek Philippe Nautilus 3700/1 in 18k yellow gold, retailed for the Sultanate of Oman as a key highlight from its upcoming Exclusive Timepieces auction.
For the first time ever at auction, Monaco Legend Group presents a timepiece of exceptional rarity and prestige: a Patek Philippe Nautilus 3700/1 in 18k Yellow Gold, distinguished not only by its immaculate condition but also by its unique supporting documentation. This watch is possibly the only known example to have the Extract from the Archives confirming the presence of the gold Khanjar dagger — the national emblem of Oman — on its dial.
Manufactured in 1977 and made for the Sultanate of Oman, this extraordinary watch has been kept in an important private collection for a significant period of time. It has never been presented at auction before, remaining a well-kept secret until now. Monaco Legend is very excited to present in its upcoming April sale the rare opportunity to acquire a coveted piece for discerning collectors of both Patek Philippe and Omani watches.
The Nautilus 3700/1 represents a key moment in Patek Philippe’s history, showcasing the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship and elegance. The presence of the Khanjar coat of arms indicates a special commission and a storied past, adding an intriguing additional layer to this watch’s already rich history.
