The present lot is a rare reference 2352 of Longines and is also known as “Pulsanti ad Ombrello” or “Umbrella Pushers”, affectionately called this way by Italian collectors logically, for the same of its pushers. The lot here offered is a perfectly preserved example of this rare reference: equipped with the caliber 13ZN: the case is in excellent condition, entirely made of steel with a snap on back and, indeed, the distinctive umbrella buttons. The silvered dial has a lot of charm thanks o its complex composition of painted black baton and Arabic numerals, inner Arabic five minute divisions, outer red telemeter and blue tachometer scales, two subsidiary dials for constant seconds and 30 minutes register. With the Longines Extract from the Archives confirming case, movement, production and subsequent sale on 31 January 1939 to the company Ostersetzer, which was at that time our agent for Italy.
