In recent years Patek Philippe has released many interesting and complicated watches, raising the bar every day for quality and beauty. Launched at Basel in 2011 is the first self-winding chronograph wristwatch to be fitted with an annual calendar complication, the caliber CH 28–520. This lot is a splendid example of reference 5961, and is offered in very nice and almost unworn conditions, with perfectly preserved case and sharply rounded pushers. It is adorned with 36 baguette diamonds with a total weight of 3.68 carats. The dial is untouched and perfectly combines day, date and month apertures, a power reserve display and a subsidiary dial for the chronograph with day and night indicator. In addition to the mat blue dial, the hour markers are set with baguette-cut diamonds as is the deployant buckle with famous Calatrava cross. This watch is sold with its original Certificate of Origin, Leather Wallet and Booklet.
