Breguet was founded in 1775 by Abraham-Louis Breguet, a Swiss watchmaker born to Huguenot parents in Neuchâtel. Breguet's connections made during his apprenticeship as a watchmaker and as a student of mathematics helped him to establish his business. From 1870 to 1970, Breguet was owned by the English Brown family which also gave life to the present lot, an exceptional and unusual example of Minimalism and Essentialism, the present bracelet wristwatch is a notable creation realized in yellow and white gold. The rectangular light case with satin finish is compleated in the center with a two tone silver and pink agée dial, with its patina, the black arabic and baton indexes and the small trimmings refers to the glories of a past time.
