The common practice of Patek Philippe was to make watches mainly with noble materials given the elegance and preciousness of its creations. The watch offered here is an exponent of this aspects made in 18-karat yellow gold, with its case still perfectly preserved.A myriad of dials variations throughout its production period have been produced but this one is one of the rarest: Its silver color is perfect, the long enamel signature at 12 o’clock is correct for the manufacture date, painted Arabic numerals and indexes and auxiliary seconds complete it but most iportant is the sectory graphics that is very uncommon to find on a wristwatch of that age. Moreover to embellish the dial it present the rare signature in the middle, Cucco. It all began in 1886 when Ottavio Cucco, having gained valuable experience at the reputable Gramaglia jewellery shop in Turin, opened his first prestigious jewellery shop at number 62 via Umberto, Biella. The shop soon became the city’s official jeweller, with Patek Philippe as its lead brand.
