In 1963 two great lines of chronographs started: Rolex with the Cosmograph Daytona and Heuer with the Carrera. The present Heuer Carrera Chronograph is a rare iteration of the fairly extensive Carrera line. The first generation of Heuer Carrera, known as the reference 2447, existed from 1963 to 1970, in various models but all sharing the same overall design. This specimen has a typical 60s style Carrera case in stainless steel with thin lugs all nicely preserved. The back is slightly modified in order to house the Landeron caliber 189 instead of the classical Valjoux 72. The black dial presents a three subsidiary dial and oversize minute counter making it really highly legible and an outer white track for minutes.
