Introduced in the 1970s and made through the ’80s, these lacquered dials had a high-gloss finish and were available in a riot of colors, often differing from each other for a small variation tone. Nicknamed this way apparently for the name of the Swiss company that provided the special lacquer dials to Rolex, they were not popular initially but are highly collectable today.
