The Rolex GMT-Master, developed in the late 1950s in collaboration with Pan Am Airways, was designed to assist pilots and crew in reading a second time zone, a feature crucial for long-haul flights. The reference 1675 represents a significant evolution in the GMT-Master line, offering both technical innovations and luxurious materials. The reference 1675 was available in stainless steel, and it was also offered in a steel and gold combination. This model was the first to introduce this two-tone approach in the GMT-Master series.
