The year 1988 marks the beginning of the production of the reference 16 618, equipped with the caliber 3135 and a quick-set date function. This model was available with a variety of dial versions, including those with applied diamond and sapphire (Sultan), black, blue, and the rarest of all, the lapis lazuli dial as seen in the specimen offered here. This particular piece features a captivating Lapis Lazuli stone. It is important to highlight that due to their fragile nature, many of these dials would break during production, requiring a true expert to work with such delicate materials. Additionally, the application of the dial to the watch necessitated all the skill and experience of a seasoned watchmaker, resulting in high production costs and making these specimens highly sought after by collectors. The reference 16 618 was in production until 2010. The offered 16 618 features a yellow-gold bracelet with a flip-lock deployant clasp in very good condition, and the case is perfectly preserved. Regarding the dial, the bezel was produced to complement the type of dial, maintaining a monochromatic effect. Thus, the blue dial was paired with a blue insert, while the black dial was paired with a black insert. The whole watch is in totally attractive conditions and striking at every single glance.
