The “Classic Fusion Enamel Britto” is a distinguished collaboration between Hublot and Brazilian pop artist Romero Britto. Known for his brightly colored and easily recognizable works, Britto’s art spans various mediums, including sculpture, painting, and even hard shell luggage. In this timepiece, Hublot merges the traditional art of “grand feu” enameling with the vibrant, contemporary art movements of Pop Art and Cubism embodied in Britto’s work. The watch features a substantial 45 mm case made of platinum, produced in a limited edition of only 30 pieces, with an alternative version available in black ceramic limited to 50 pieces. The design is a celebration of color and light, utilizing the champlevé enamel technique. This process begins with a white-gold dial disc that is stamped with the motif’s outline—a method that historically involved hand engraving. Each segment of the stamped design is meticulously filled with enamel. The process of adding color is done one at a time, with each hue being fired in an oven after application. This multi-step firing process ensures the dial remains vivid, glossy, and fade-resistant. The watch’s in-house hand-wound movement boasts a power reserve of approximately 90 hours and is water-resistant up to 50 meters.
