As the longest-running watchmaker still in operation, Vacheron Constantin boasts a storied legacy of crafting remarkable timepieces. The brand was instrumental in the shift from pocket watches to wristwatches during the early 20th century, pioneering innovative designs. At the dawn of the new millennium, Vacheron Constantin unveiled the Malte collection, a tribute to both its rich heritage and its forward-looking vision. Among its standout creations, the Malte Tourbillon commands attention with its striking design. Featuring an intricate skeletonized dial, it seamlessly integrates a practical date display and power reserve indicator, found resting on the outer hour ring. The second chapter ring, however, holds the true centerpiece of the Malte wristwatch: a hypnotic tourbillon, elegantly showcasing the brand’s signature Maltese cross. Proudly showcasing its finely handcrafted movement, every element is meticulously handcrafted, with artisans expertly incorporating subtle contrasts that enhance light reflection, further unveiling the movement’s true essence. The present example, cased in platinum and preserved in excellent condition, showcasing crisp case back engravings and hallmarks, is further accompanied by an Extract from the Archives and a fitted presentation box.
