Vacheron Constantin, founded in 1755 by Jean-Marc Vacheron in Geneva, is one of the world's oldest watch manufacturers with an uninterrupted history. Throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries, the brand's pocket watches were symbols of luxury and precision, sought after by royalty and discerning collectors alike. Today, their vintage pocket watches remain highly prized by enthusiasts, representing a rich heritage of watchmaking mastery. This exceptional chronomètre pocket watch features a polished four-body "bassine" silver case with a hinged cuvette and a back adorned with a presentation inscription. The brushed silver dial showcases elegant Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, and a large subsidiary seconds dial, all complemented by blued steel "spade" hands. Inside, the meticulously crafted movement, Cal. 22''', is rhodium plated and decorated with "fausses côtes". It contains 19 jewels and boasts a substantial diameter of 58 mm, underscoring its remarkable precision and timeless appeal.
