In 1964, the Jenny brand patented a one-piece case capable of reaching depths of 1,000 meters. Philip Watch, founded in 1958, forged a partnership with Jenny, the patent holder, resulting in both brands producing similar models under their respective names. Among the Philip Watch creations, the references differ according to depth ratings. For example, Ref. 500 is rated for 1,600 feet (500 meters), Ref. 700 for 2,300 feet (700 meters), and Ref. 702 for 3,300 feet (1,000 meters), just like the present lot. Made of steel, the case has been preserved in very good condition, with the various engravings, reference, and serial numbers still present on the case back. The bracelet features the iconic jubilee style, as shown in the catalogues of the time. The blue and white Bakelite bezel is a standout feature of this series in terms of both material and color. The dial boasts an attractive coral color, white indexes, large hands with luminous material and a date window at 3 o'clock.
