The request of solid cases reliable and with a good aesthetic taste led Longines to privilege the stainless steel as material used giving birth to some very sophisticated and dressy versions such as the lot here offered. This reference 21 372 has a 34 mm case with smooth bezel and screw back case in resistant stainless steel with very limited signs of wearing. On the band is located the winding crown and the single rounded pusher to activate the split second complication, one of the most appreciated among collectors. The passing of time has transformed the initial argentè color of the dial to a magnificent light pink with outer blue tachymeter scale, inner Arabic five minute divisions, black Arabic numerals, blue steel feuille hands and the counter for constant seconds at 6 o’clock. The caliber used is the 12.68Z and, moreover, the watch is equipped with a very nice and resistant Oyster riveted bracelet. With the Longines Extract from the Archives confirming case, movement, production and subsequent sale on 26 February 1942 to the company Perusset, which was at that time our agent for Argentina.
